He is currently President of the Royal Academy of Engineering and directs the Spanish Dictionary of Engineering. He has held different management positions in the ENDESA Group and ENRESA. Member of the Board of CIEMAT and of the Nuclear Safety Council, of which he was Vice-President. Chairman of the Technical Committee 191 of AENOR for scientific terminology, Chairman of the Association of Graduates in Higher Studies of the National Defense (ADALEDE), Chairman of the Nuclear Fission Energy Technological Platform (CEIDEN).
He has been awarded the Medal of Honor of the College of Civil Engineers, the Gold Medal of the Spanish Nuclear Society, the Silver Cross of the Civil Guard and the Encomienda de Número de la Orden de Isabel la Católica.
